Introduction to Environmental Management Systems

Environmental management is a systematic approach towards environmental conservation, and is widely applied by the
organisations to integrate environmental concerns into their business strategy and normal operations. This half day
workshop provides an overview of the objectives of Environmental Management Systems (EMS), structure of the
ISO 14001, benefits of implementing EMS and possible barriers that may be encountered along the way.

The workshop provides an understanding of the key steps involved in the successful implementation of ISO 14001 and discusses the role of all staff to ensure the success of the implementation project.
