GAP Assessments should be considered prior to commencing with the implementation of a Food Safety Management System or when moving
from one certification standard to another.
GAP Assessments are conducted to determine the gaps in your current Food Safety / QMS system against the requirements of the standard you wish to be certified to.
This is normally conducted prior to the start of implementation to gauge the current status of system implementation. Sometimes a GAP Assessment is also conducted when a company wishes to progress from one standard e.g. GFSI Intermediate level to another standard, such as a certification standard (FSSC 22000 or BRC).
After a GAP Assessment is conducted a report will highlight where deficiencies exist and a project plan can be compiled to address the gaps in the system. Entecom provides a comprehensive GAP Assessment report with clear guidance as to how to address these gaps.
