How to implement the new GLOBALG.A.P. Integrated Farm Assurance v6 Standard

The GLOBAL.G.A.P. brand consists of “smart farm assurance solutions” focusing on safe, socially and environmentally responsible farming practices. The Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) standard applies to fruit and vegetables, aquaculture, floriculture, livestock and more and is the most widely used GLOBALG.A.P. standard. After two years of public consultation with all industry stakeholders the IFA vs 6 was published on the 26th of April 2022. This version has brought with it significant changes and will be obligatory for all Plant Scope Registered GLOBALG.A.P. certificate holders from 01/10/2024. This workshop will teach you about the changes, how they will impact you and most importantly, how to implement the new requirements.

GLOBALG.A.P., a “smart farm assurance solution brand”, started out as EUREPGAP in 1997. It was developed by FoodPLUS GmgH in Cologne, Germany. The GLOBALG.A.P. brand consists of “smart farm assurance solutions” focusing on safe, socially and environmentally responsible farming practices. The Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) standard applies to fruit and vegetables, aquaculture, floriculture, livestock and more and is the most widely used GLOBALG.A.P.  standard. After two years of public consultation with all industry stakeholders the IFA vs 6 was published on the 26th of April 2022 for the following scopes and product categories:

  • Fruit and vegetables (plant scope)
  • Hops (plant scope)
  • Flowers and ornaments (plant scope)
  • Finfish, molluscs, crustaceans and seaweed (aquaculture scope)
