Food Safety For Maintenance Workshop

Entecom:

Entecom (acronym for Enhancing Technical Competence) was established in November 2004 to serve the Food & Beverage Industry as a provider of technical training courses and consulting. Entecom has a national footprint with Franchises in Tshwane, Gauteng, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, Western Cape, East London and Port Elizabeth. You can say we are really passionate about food safety!

The workshop:

Food safety is often only focused on the quality and production departments. A major cause of food safety incidences are however related to equipment/ building design and mistakes by maintenance personnel and contractors. Yet most food facilities fail to address this issue and do not provide the maintenance department with effective food safety training.

This course is tailor made for maintenance personnel who need an overview on food safety, and need guidance on the specific roles they need to play and the issues they need to be aware of to prevent costly food safety mistakes.

We understand that maintenance personnel are not wired to sit through hours of presentation slides. This course has a significant practical content to ensure maximum learning.

The presenter:

Rolf Uys

The course facilitator is Rolf Uys, who holds a MSc. in Food Science and has 20 years experience in training and implementing Food Safety Management systems in 50 countries. He specializes in troubleshooting food safety problems and very often maintenance and equipment design is the root cause. He therefore has an excellent knowledge of how maintenance activities connect to food safety. He promises to make the courses fun and interactive with modern training and presentation techniques.
